DHL is one of the world leading logistics and express delivery companies. In Egypt, the company operates logistics facilities in El Maadi including sorting and distribution centers. DHL Egypt selected Van Tech to deliver MEP and fire protection systems to strict international operational standards ensuring logistics continuity.
Scope of Work
The scope included: industrial HVAC systems suited for warehouse and sorting center environments, FM200 fire suppression protecting server rooms and sensitive operational areas, early warning fire alarm systems, and electrical power distribution. The project was executed over 7 months due to the comprehensive industrial scope. All systems were delivered per DHL international operational requirements.
Challenges & Solutions
The logistics environment imposed unique challenges: large sorting areas required industrial air distribution design ensuring uniform coverage without dead zones, while DHL 24-hour continuous operations demanded execution within limited downtime windows without disrupting the supply chain. We overcame these challenges through night-shift schedules and daily coordination with the DHL operations team.
Outcome
The DHL El Maadi facility was handed over passing all commissioning tests on the first attempt. Van Tech achieved full compliance with DHL international operational standards while maintaining logistics continuity throughout the execution period. Van Tech proved its ability to execute in sensitive industrial and operational environments.
