Strategic Overview
Egyptian Holding for Airports and Aerial Navigation is the authority responsible for managing and operating Egyptian airports and aerial navigation systems. The company operates a critical server room running IT systems for aerial navigation. The company selected Van Tech to deliver precision cooling and fire suppression systems for this vital room to the highest reliability standards.
Scope of Work
The scope included: continuous precision cooling for the server room with zero tolerance for interruption due to its connection to aerial navigation systems, FM200 gaseous fire suppression protecting critical electronic equipment without damage, and a multi-zone early warning fire alarm system. The project was executed over 7 months with full coordination with the IT team. The facility operates 24/7 without any downtime.
Challenges & Solutions
Downtime was not an option: aerial navigation systems operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and cannot be stopped. This required executing cooling and suppression works in parallel with live systems, using backup cooling units to maintain room temperature during installation. We overcame these challenges through a strict engineering execution plan and a team specialized in mission-critical environments.
Outcome
The Egyptian Holding for Airports server room was handed over passing all testing protocols while maintaining zero interruption to aerial navigation systems throughout the execution period. This project stands as one of the most complex and valuable projects in Van Tech mission-critical infrastructure portfolio.
Why Van Tech
Critical infrastructure like aerial navigation server rooms needs a contractor with experience in mission-critical environments and the ability to execute without operational interruption. Van Tech possesses this rare capability backed by specialized engineering teams and strict execution plans that guarantee service continuity at every moment. This is why Egyptian Holding for Airports chose Van Tech.
